Young Man Killed by Train

Edward Wall, 21 years old, unmarried, son of John B. Walk, who resides near Walmore, was struck and killed by a New York Central train one mile cast of the Walmore station last evening about 5:15 o’clock. Young Wall had been to Sanborn and was walking home along the track carrying a live turkey under one of his arms. The train was running west or toward this city, and the wind was blowing from the west. This carried the sound of the approaching train away from him, and plunged upon him, robbing him of life. The turkey found 30 feet from where he was struck, also dead. Wall’s body was taken home, Coroner Scott was notified of the accident.

Engineer John Manley and Conductor Henry Conway were in charge of that train.
