The Ligget’s Gap and Cayuga and Susquehanna Railways

This 1850 piece in a New York City newspaper extolls the virtues of the Ligget’s Gap Railroad and the Cayuga and Susquehanna Railroad (which the writer states are owned by the same company) as routes to move coal from Pennsylvania to New York State. It is a very laudatory article and notes that the Cayuga and Susquehanna Railroad will begin selling bonds the next day and judges them as “investment worthy the attention of capitalists.”
