New York State Engineer and Surveyor Annual Reports

Railroad Commissioners’ Annual Reports

The New York State Board of Railroad Commissioners issued yearly reports that included information on every railroad in the state. They typically covered a period through the end of September of a given year and were issued early the following year. For example, the Annual Report of the Board of Railroad Commissioners of the State of New York for the fiscal year ended September 30, 1883 was transmitted to the legislature on January 14, 1884. In some years the reports had multiple volumes.
