A force of about 75 men began work on the Lewiston and Youngstown railroad Monday last near the New York Central freight depot at Lewiston.
The Youngstown Frontier Railway Company has purchased the “Beals Grove” on the bank of Lake Ontario from Pierce and Philipot for $11,000. This will probably be the northern terminus of the new line. Two years ago this property was sold for $1,500, a comparatively insignificant sum.
