Westons Mills (also known as Weston Mills or Weston’s Mills) is a hamlet in Cattaraugus County between Olean and Portville. It was a station on Buffalo Division of the Western New York and Pennsylvania Railway, which later became the Buffalo Line of the Pennsylvania Railroad. It does not appear to have been a station for very long – the only reference I can find to it was an 1891 timetable.
It was also a stop on Olean Street Railway, which combined with Bradford Street Railroad on Nov. 17, 1906 to form the Western New York and Pennsylvania Traction Company electric interurban railroad.
History
The first railroad through Westons Mills was the Buffalo, New York and Philadelphia Railway, formerly the Buffalo and Washington Railway, who built their line through this area in 1872.
