WC Junction was located just west of Salamanca, NY and was the junction point between the Erie Railroad line to Dunkirk, NY and the Main Line west to Chicago. There was no passenger station here, but the West Salamanca station was just around the corner on the route to Dunkirk.

WC Tower
The Erie had a small interlocking tower, referred to as “WC Tower,” that controlled this junction. The 1929 article above refers to the newly-built tower at WC Junction. It appears that the tower was closed as early as 1948, but I haven’t be able to confirm that.
