A franchise permitting the O., B. & S. Bus Lines, Inc., subsidiary of the Olean, Bradford & Salamanca Railway, to operate its busses over the highways of the town of Salamanca, was granted by the town board at a meeting held Monday evening. Mr. Quigley represented the O., B. & S.
Previous petitions of the company for a franchise had been refused and the town board granted a franchise to the Iroquois Indian Trails Motor Coach Lines, Inc., of Buffalo. This company, however, has not been able to run its busses, and was not represented at Monday night’s session, wherefore the board decided that, in the interest of the public, a franchise should be granted the O., B. & S.
The latter company has operated a bus line to Allegany State Park part of this summer, and plans a line to Little Valley, to take the places of trolley service on its Little Valley line.
