Has Bought The Rails

Panama Traction Company Preparing to Build Line From Sugar Grove to Jamestown.

The Panama Traction company has closed the contracts for the rails necessary for the construction of the ten miles of railroad line between Sugar Grove and Jamestown. It was announced today that work upon the grading of the line would commence as soon as weather conditions would permit.

A portion of the construction work in connection with the line is already complete. The bridges across the Stillwater have been completed.

The Panama Traction company, which proposes the operation of a traction line between Sugar Grove and Jamestown and eventually in other sections, has secured a right of way to enter the city of Jamestown.

The line of the road will enter the city on West Sixth street and run thence to McDannell avenue, thence to Steel street and into Brooklyn square over Market street.
