Greene Railroad Company.
A meeting of citizens was held at Greene, on Monday of last week, to consider the project of building a railroad from that place to Chenango Forks. Resolutions were adopted favoring the organization of the “Greene Railroad Company,” with a capital of $200,000.
Maurice Birdsall, R. P. Barnard and H. O. Banks reported articles of association which were unanimously adopted. A Board of Directors was appointed, who elected the following: officers: President, Maurice Birdsall; Vice President, R. F. Barnard ; Secretary, Jos. Juliand ; Treasurer, Lewis S. Hayes. Subscriptions for the amount of stock necessary to complete the organization have already been made. Greene has now done what she ought to have done many years ago.
Success to the Greene Railroad Co.
