1891 NYS Report on the Chautauqua Lake Railway

Below is the report filed by the Chautauqua Lake Railway with the New York State Board of Railroad Commissioners for the year ending June 30, 1891.

This report noted that W. E. Griggs was appointed as the receiver for the railroad on July 26, 1890.

The report showed that the railroad owned three locomotives with four driving wheels, two first-class passenger cars, five excursion cars, and two baggage and passenger cars. It also owned 3 boxcars and 2 flatcars.

The railroad operated 23.85 miles of main line and 2.25 miles of sidings.
