Car Line to Panama Rocks

Work is progressing rapidly on the track-laying for the Ashville to Panama line of the Panama Traction Co. At the Ashville end of the proposed line, already nearly three miles of the grading is completed. Ties and track material are on hand, and actual laying of rails was started near Ashville. One bridge has been completed near Ashville and work has been started on another bridge over Goose creek, near Blockville. As the service is to be by motor car no overhead work is required and there seems to be no doubt that the line will be in operation next summer.-Ex.
