The New Electric Line From Lewiston to Youngstown Formally Opened to the Public

The Lewiston, Youngstown & Frontier Railroad, extending from Lewiston to Youngstown, was formally opened to the public yesteriday afternoon, The road, though operated by a different company, is really a continuation of the Niagara-Lewiston road, better known an the Gorge route, which was opened a year ago.

A mile of the Lewlston, Youngstown & Fruntter remains to be built. It will convey passengers when finished to a beautiful spot on the shore of Lake Ontario. Among those who inspected the new road yesterday were Capt. Brinker, L. D. Rumsey, J. K. Brooks, Robert B. Goodman, Supcrintendent L. & Y. F. R. R.: Karl Evans, Passenger and Freight Agent, L. & Y. F. R. R.; John C. Level of the Tower Hotel, Niagara Falls; W. E. Tench, Hon. O. W. Cutler, ex-Mayor of Niagara Falls; Dr. P. E. Redpath, Walter S. Brush of Toronto; Edward A. Lyman, Hon. Willlam Poole, S. B. Kirkpatrick. C. B. Kendall, F. C. Wilkes, W. M. Mahoney and many otbers.

A banquet was served at the hotel at Youngstown. Mr. Rumsey stated the speechmaking and was followed by Herbert P. Bissell, Capt. Brinker, Robert P. Goodman, and others. The homeward journey was made in the evening.
