An Electric Railway

It has just been given out that the Jamestown, Chautauqua & Lake Erie Railway will change its motive power from steam to electricity. The road extends from Jamestown to Westfield running along the east shore of Chautauqua Lake.

It also has a branch from Mayville to the Chautauqua Assembly grounds and one from Jamestown to Falconer. The manner of handling freight has not yet been decided upon.
