Bad Wreck on Central

A Passenger and Freight Train in Collision at Fancher To-Day

ROCHESTER, N. Y., Jan. 3.—A telephone message from Medina says a wreck which nearly demolished trains, and injured two persons; occurred at Fancher, on the Falls division of the New York Central railroad this morning.

The west bound passenger train which left Rochester at 8:15, and is due in Medina at 9:48, collided head-on with an east bound freight train.

So terrific was the shock that the locomotives were wrecked and several cars were splintered and derailed.

The wreck took fire and the flames communicated with the depot, which has been destroyed, and the are now burning.

The telegraph wires are all down details are meagre, but it is understood that only two persons are injured.

Mrs. Catharine Reddy of 25 West 32d street, New York, was injured in the back, one of her limbs bruised and she is suffering from shock.

A number of passengers lost ther overcoats and baggage by fire.
