Nobody Held Responsible For the Killing of Sarah F. Drudge at Gunnville.
Coroner Kenney today rendered his verdict in the case of Sarah F. Drudge, an unmarried woman, 45 years old, who was struck and killed by a West Shore train at the station of Gunnville in the town of Clarence on June 1.
The Coroner finds that the accident was due to her own carelessness. He says the testimony of the engineer, train hands and passengers showed that the engineer rang his bell, tooted his whistle and did everything in his power to warn the woman of the approach of the train.
