The following article about the annual meeting of the stockholders of the Atlantic and Great Western Railroad is from the July 19, 1860 issue of The Railroad Record magazine. Much of the report is based on the report of the work of the contractor building the line westward from the New York and Erie Railroad connection at Salamanca, NY. The road had been completed to Randolph and was expected to be completed to Jamestown by August 1, 1860 and to the connection with the Sunbury and Erie Railroad in Pennsylvania by October.
