Tonawanda Railroad

The Tonawanda Railroad was one of the predecessors of the New York Central Railroad and one of the first railroads built in the state.  On April 9th, 1850, the Tonawanda Railroad and the Attica and Buffalo Railroad, which was chartered in 1836, merged under the name of the Buffalo and Rochester Railroad.
