Avon, Geneseo and Mount Morris Railroad

The was one of the railroads that operated what would become the Erie Railroad Mount Morris Branch.

History

In 1856 the Genesee Valley Railroad was incorporated to build a railroad 15 miles from Avon to Mount Morris.  In December 1859 the railroad was sold at foreclosure and in February 1860 it was reorganized as the Avon, Geneseo and Mt. Morris Railroad, which was leased to the Erie Railway in 1872.
