Completion of Chautauqua Traction Company’s New Line Matter of Much Rejoicing
MAYVILLE, N.Y., Aug. 31 –The Chautauqua Traction Company‘s new line between Mayville and Jamestown will be opened tomorrow. In commemoration of the event, so long desired by this village, and so eagerly welcomed, a theater party leaves here tomorrow night at 6 o’clock, returning after the performance at the Celoron theater.
The whole village is expected to go, except the sick. The band is going, and as far as can be heard from, not a soul will be left in this town except guardians, and those who are unable even to be carried to the train.
