D. J. Bill. General passenger agent of the Jamestown, Chautauqua & Lake Erie Railroad, says that, beginning on May 1st. a new branch of that road will be opened as far as Westfield. This will give the road a direct connection with the Lake Shore and the Nickel Plate railroads, and it is the purpose to run through cars to the Chautauqua assemblies this summer. It also means the passing of the exclusive control of that territory by the Erie. Mr. Bill believes that the new line will result in a boom for the excursion season to Chautauqua this summer.
