The plan discussed in the article below never came to fruition and Mount Morris remained the southern terminus of the Genesee Valley Railroad.
—There is a project on foot in Nunda for the extension of the Genesee Valley Railroad from Mount Morris, to connect with the Erie road near that place. A large and spirited meeting has been held, in that place, in which the question was discussed and endorsed.- The proposed extension would be but 15 miles in length.
