The article below from the Buffalo Evening News on May 29, 1896 described the collision between a trolley car from the Buffalo, Gardenville and Ebenezer Railway and a train of the Western New York and Pennsylvania Railroad at the South Buffalo station. The railroad tracks, trolley tracks, and Indian Church Road, later Winchester Avenue, all cross each other at this point.
