Electrification of Western New York Railroad

The article below discusses the plans of the new owners of the steam-powered Jamestown, Chautauqua and Lake Erie Railway to convert the line to be electrically-powered and rename it as the Jamestown, Westfield and Northwestern Railroad. The new owners, the Broadhead family of Jamestown, also owned the Chautauqua Traction Company, Jamestown Street Railway Company, and the Chautauqua Steam Boat Company.
