This 1871 advertisement offered for sale bonds issued to finance the construction of the Dunkirk, Warren and Pittsburgh Railway (a predecessor of the Dunkirk, Allegheny Valley and Pittsburgh Railroad.) The ad highlights that the New York Central and Lake Shore Railroad (New York Central) was a major investor in the company and that “arrangements” had been concluded between the two companies.
