The Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh Railway had a wide variety of steam locomotives (and a few motor cars) that reflect on the different jobs the company used the engines for and the different terrain in which they operated.
This page is sorted by the configuration of the locomotive’s wheels, as defined using the Whyte system. It was common for BR&P, and all railroads, to buy different batches of locomotives with the same wheel arrangement from different companies at different times.
I am far from an expert on BR&P locomotives and this list as been cobbled together from multiple sources. I’m sure the road numbers aren’t right, but they are the best I can come up with. If anyone has a good locomotives roster, please email me!
