M. Brush Succeeds H. A Macbeth on the J, C. & L. E. Road.
H. A. Macbeth, whose unflagging zeal and energy developed the Chautauqua Steamboat company and Jamestown, Chautauqua & Lake Erie Railroad company to the highest point of efficiency, has resigned the position of general agent and his place is taken by G. M. Brush formerly of Duluth, a railroad man of many years’ experience.
Mr. Brush assumed the duties of the position November 16th, and he announces there will be no change in the policy of the road.
The railroad is owned by the Sheehan-Mayer syndicate which also owns trolley properties in Western New York and Pennsylvania, including the Buffalo & Lake Erie Traction line which extends from Buffalo to Westfield, together with other important trolley lines allied with the system.
M. C. Brush is manager of this system, succeeding J. C. Calisch who has until recently been manager since the Buffalo & Lake Erie line was built. He is a son of G. M. Brush, the new manager of the local road.
