Buffalo and Jamestown Railroad Freight Agent

A short 1875 article about the competition for freight business between Buffalo and Jamestown, NY. The “B. & J.” referenced is the Buffalo and Jamestown Railroad and the “other route to Falconer” refers to the Dunkirk, Allegheny Valley and Pittsburgh Railroad.

B. & J. RAILROAD FREIGHT AGENT – The Jamestown Journal states that C C Dean has been appointed freight agent for the B & J R R and will freight to and from Buffalo and Jamestown on the A. & G. W., Erie and B. & J. R. R. as cheap as can be delivered the other route to Falconer thus saving the haul from Falconer to Jamestown for Jamestown.
